Zoro Foundation started in 2026 in Ramapuram, Chennai with a simple observation: most families in trouble don't need a big programme, they need a small amount of help at the right moment. We are a group of volunteers who pool small gifts and deliver that help directly.
Timely, practical help
To get timely, practical help to children and families from low-income households, funded by many small gifts and delivered by volunteers, with every rupee accounted for in public.
No child out of school for ₹800
Neighbourhoods where no child drops out of school for want of a few hundred rupees, and no family has to choose between a meal and a medicine.
Honesty, dignity, speed
Honesty about what we have and haven't done. Dignity for the people we help. Speed over paperwork. Nothing hidden from donors.
How it started
Zoro Foundation began as a few friends chipping in for families they personally knew: a child whose school fees were overdue, a household that had lost its earner for a season. It worked because it was small, quick and personal. This website is the next step: opening that circle to anyone who wants to join it.
We have deliberately started with an empty ledger and no big claims. Our first drives will be published here, with what was raised, what was bought and who it reached, as they happen.
The people behind the work
Zoro Foundation is run entirely by volunteers. Nobody is paid. As the team grows we will introduce each person here, with their permission.
The coordinator
Holds the Razorpay account, keeps the ledger, and answers every email at info@zorofoundation.in.
Volunteers
Packing kits, running drives, visiting families, tutoring on Saturdays.

How we're set up: the plain facts
We would rather you know exactly what you are giving to.
- Legal status
- Zoro Foundation is an unregistered, volunteer-run initiative. It is not a registered trust, society or Section 8 company, and it is not a government-recognised NGO.
- What a donation is
- A voluntary gift to the initiative, received through Razorpay into the account of the volunteer who coordinates it, and used only for the programmes described on this site.
- Tax deduction (80G)
- Not available. We hold no 80G or 12A approval, so donations cannot be claimed as an income-tax deduction.
- CSR funds
- We cannot receive corporate CSR funds. Companies can still support us through employee giving and group drives. See giving as a group.
- Foreign donations
- Not accepted. Without FCRA registration we take donations only from Indian citizens using Indian accounts or cards.
- Accounts
- Our public ledger lists everything raised and spent. We will register formally once our work and volume justify it, and update this page when we do.
- Where
- Ramapuram, Chennai. We work from our homes and the neighbourhoods we serve; there is no office.
